Prestwick - PAR 5 / 421-455-490-522
This par five is a tribute to the 12th hole at Prestwick, the founding course for the Open Championship, the oldest continuously played sports championship anywhere in the world. This public layout has long been bypassed by the Open rotation, but still challenges thousands of amateurs from around the world every year.
Imagination is needed on every shot, as a fairly wide fairway leads to a very narrow and tight green opening. There is ample room to drive along the left side as it borders the 10th hole, but the second and third shots are all important, as the protected green can be exceedingly hard to hit from long distances.
