Carnoustie - PAR 5 - 441-500-532-581
Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth and Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles are both known as Hogan's Alley for the legendary Texas Golfer, Ben Hogan's successes at the two courses. But only one course and one hole, the sixth at Carnoustie, is known as Hogan's Alley on the European Continent.
When Hogan won the 1953 Open at Carnoustie, one of the three majors he won in that magical year, he birdied this hole twice in the 36-hole final day in route to his victory. Known simply as "Hogan's Alley" on the course scoreboard, it measures 581 yards from the back tees with Hogan's famous bunkers in the middle of the fairway. Along with the fifth hole, it's considered one of the best 1-2 punches in Scotland.
