Muirfield - PAR 5 / 412-437-480-505    The Muirfield Golf Links has long been known as one of the best and most exclusive courses in the world and the 9th hole is a perfect representation of what makes this course so great. It was the first official home of a club known then and now as the Honorable Company of Edinburgh Golfers since 1744. The members also drew up what became known as the first official rules of the game of golf.    This par five forces players to think and consider their various options with every shot. The initial drive can portend many things, good and bad. The good shot can be in excellent shape to reach the smallish green in two or three shots or the bad will be in deep trouble and en route to a high scorecard number. There is a large wall along the left side with native grasses to snare any misplaced first or second shots.
